Overall Concept

A Cybersecurity Platform for the Transport Sector

TRUNSPORT offers a Cyber Support Hub (CSH), a user-friendly platform that integrates advanced tools, human-focused strategies, and collaborative mechanisms to make cybersecurity proactive, practical, and fully aligned with NIS2 EU regulations. Through its intuitive interface, operators can map their systems, run cybersecurity assessments, and monitor compliance progress. The hub acts as the main entry point for all services, ensuring scalability and interoperability across diverse infrastructures.

The platform is Built Around Five Core Components

Generative Artificial Intelligence-supported Critical Infrastructure System (GenAI CIS) Mapper

This component uses GenAI to map Operational Technology (OT)/Information Technology (IT) systems. Users can easily build a digital representation of their infrastructure, which is automatically analysed for vulnerabilities. The mapper provides recommendations through an Artificial Intelligence chatbot, helping organisations prioritise actions and improve security without requiring deep technical expertise.

Preparedness Support Services (PSS)

Provides proactive cybersecurity capabilities through comprehensive threat and risk assessments, continuous risk monitoring, and rigorous vulnerability testing. It incorporates advanced tools for penetration testing, cyber-range simulations, and automated workflows to identify weaknesses before they are exploited.

Human Shield Strategies (HSS)

Offers training programs to raise awareness about social engineering attacks and promote strong cyber hygiene across the workforce. It provides consultation on verification procedures and secure information-sharing policies, reducing risks linked to human error and insider threats.

Results & Evaluation Dashboard

Consolidates all cybersecurity assessment results into clear visualisations. It tracks compliance with NIS2 requirements, displays risk trends, and generates automated reports for audits and regulatory submissions.

Mutual Assistance Support (MAS)

MAS enables collaboration among transport and critical infrastructure entities. It facilitates secure threat intelligence sharing, joint incident response, and cross-border cyber exercises. By pooling resources and expertise, it strengthens collective resilience and ensures faster, coordinated responses to emerging threats.

How it Works

Map your infrastructure using the GenAI CIS Mapper with an intuitive drag-and-drop interface.
Run automated analysis to detect vulnerabilities and compliance gaps.
Receive tailored recommendations via the Artificial Intelligence-powered chatbot on which services to apply.
Access services: PSS for technical security, HSS for human resilience, MAS for collaborative defence.
View results and compliance status through the dashboard, including NIS2 evaluation.
Iterate and improve by refining your system map and repeating the cycle for continuous resilience.

The Three Primary Stages

Phase 1

Requirements Analysis and Design

This phase focuses on understanding the cybersecurity needs of transport and related critical infrastructures. It involves analysing NIS2 requirements, identifying sector-specific risks, and defining user scenarios. Based on this, the architecture of the Cyber Support Hub (CSH) and its components is designed to ensure modularity, scalability, and compliance with EU regulations.

Phase 2

Development and Integration

In this phase, the TRUNSPORT ecosystem is built and refined. Core modules i.e., Generative Artificial Intelligence Critical Infrastructure System (GenAI CIS) Mapper, Preparedness Support Services, Human Shield Strategies, Mutual Assistance Support, and the Results Dashboard, are developed and integrated into the CSH platform. Continuous feedback from stakeholders and interoperability testing ensure seamless operation and user-centric design.

Phase 3

Validation, Scale-Up, and Open Calls

The final phase validates the platform through real-world use cases across transport and cross-sector infrastructures. It includes training, cyber-range exercises, and compliance evaluations. Additionally, the Open Call Programme engages new entities, expanding adoption and fostering collaboration. This phase ensures scalability, continuous improvement, and long-term impact.
