TRUNSPORT Mission and Objectives
TRUNSPORT aims to strengthen the cybersecurity resilience and preparedness of the transport sector and related critical infrastructures. By delivering a unified Cyber Security Hub (CSH) powered by advanced technologies like Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI), TRUNSPORT helps organisations anticipate, prevent, and respond to cyber threats. Its core mission is to harmonise security measures, ensure compliance with the NIS2 Directive, and foster collaboration among stakeholders, creating a secure, resilient, and future-ready digital ecosystem for transport and beyond.
The Project’s Main Objectives
Analyse the cybersecurity landscape per NIS2, identify vulnerabilities and compliance gaps, and strengthen protection of critical infrastructures.
Map transport industrial operations and critical infrastructure, identify key assets, and assess workflows and interdependencies for stronger resilience.
Improve vulnerability assessment through penetration testing of networks, applications, cloud, industrial control systems, and IoT, securing critical infrastructures.
Offer standardised cyber ranges for testing transport systems and conducting realistic cross-border cyber exercises.
Assess and strengthen industrial cybersecurity, improving incident management and providing expert recommendations for infrastructure protection.
Provide Artificial Intelligence-driven threat and risk assessments, analysing real-time data and scenarios to strengthen cybersecurity resilience.
Provide a Risk Monitoring Service that ensures continuous attack-surface monitoring and ongoing assessment of assets and vulnerabilities.
Deliver the Cyber Support Hub as a one-stop platform for cybersecurity guidance, services, and resilience for critical infrastructures.
Engage stakeholders through Open Calls targeting cross-sector, cross-border entities that provide critical infrastructure and essential services.
Collaborate with EU cybersecurity alliances, sharing knowledge, technologies, and exercises to strengthen collective industrial cybersecurity.
