TRUNSPORT and CYberSynchrony Collaborate for a More Resilient Cybersecurity Landscape

TRUNSPORT is pleased to announce a new collaboration with the CYberSynchrony project, bringing together complementary expertise and solutions to support stronger cybersecurity resilience, preparedness, and cooperation across Europe.
Both projects share a common vision: strengthening the cybersecurity of critical infrastructures and essential entities through advanced technologies, effective risk management, improved incident response, knowledge sharing, and greater collaboration among stakeholders.
TRUNSPORT is developing a next-generation Cyber Security Hub (CSH) designed to enhance cyber preparedness, protection, and resilience across transport infrastructures and OT/IT-based large industrial installations. The CSH provides a comprehensive set of preparedness, human-centric, and mutual assistance services, including threat and risk assessments, continuous risk monitoring, vulnerability testing, cybersecurity training, incident response planning, and cyber exercises.
CYberSynchrony, meanwhile, is developing a Modular Cybersecurity Framework (MCF) that brings together people, processes, technology, and cybersecurity culture. Its approach focuses on improving threat assessment and risk monitoring, strengthening incident response, supporting cross-border cyber exercises, enabling secure information exchange, and promoting cooperation and knowledge sharing among cybersecurity stakeholders.
The alignment between the two initiatives is particularly strong in the area of critical infrastructure protection. CYberSynchrony specifically addresses NIS2 sectors including transport, while promoting sector-specific threat intelligence, rapid incident response, cybersecurity awareness, and cross-sector collaboration.
Through this collaboration, TRUNSPORT and CYberSynchrony aim to:
- Strengthen cybersecurity resilience across transport and other critical infrastructure sectors.
- Promote knowledge and best-practice sharing in threat assessment, risk monitoring, and incident response.
- Support cybersecurity preparedness through realistic cyber exercises, testing, and capacity-building activities.
- Encourage cross-sector and cross-border cooperation, facilitating the exchange of cybersecurity knowledge and experiences.
- Raise cybersecurity awareness among organisations, professionals, and other stakeholders operating in critical sectors.
- Bridge technological innovation with practical cybersecurity needs, contributing to a stronger and more resilient European cybersecurity ecosystem.
The collaboration will create opportunities for joint dissemination activities, knowledge exchange, community engagement, and cross-project cooperation, helping both initiatives maximise their impact and reach relevant stakeholders across Europe.
By connecting TRUNSPORT’s focus on cyber-resilient transport and OT/IT infrastructures with CYberSynchrony’s holistic approach to threat intelligence, incident response, secure information sharing, and cybersecurity culture, the two projects will contribute to a more coordinated and resilient approach to cybersecurity across Europe.
